It’s not a tax, technically speaking, although it acts similarly to a tax. Not that a small ‘tax’ that could potentially save your life and you thousands of dollars in personal health costs at a later date is really much to moan about?

Good god some people are morons. This healthcare is CHEAPER, FOR ALL OF YOU. And, it being mandatory just means that EVERYONE HAS A BETTER CHANCE OF SURVIVAL. What is so bloody wrong with that?

Christ. Let them live in Canada, but only in the cold of the mountains, without any healthcare at all. That’ll shut them up. Oh and send Romney too, preferably where the bears reside. 

Having top political debates with the nurses tonight. We’ve come to the joint conclusion that David Cameron is a public school money grabber with little knowledge of struggling grafters and that Obama is simply brilliant, but that too large a number of Americans take a white man’s word over a black man’s word and will believe Mitt ‘I’m a poor excuse for a human being’ Romney’s opinion on reforms over Obama’s, regardless of the fact that his facts on the matter are not facts at all, and that the scheme will save the country copious amounts of money and lives!

I’m not saying all Americans believe this by the way, it’s just an increasingly scary amount, particularly on twitter. It’s funny because they’re all proposing a move to Canada to escape their ‘failing socialist system’… where the healthcare system is just an already advanced version of ‘obamacare’. Oh the irony!

The even funnier thing is that half of them hate the idea of socialism, and have also at the same time stated ‘I don’t even know what it is!’. If that isn’t worthy of a facepalm, I’m not quite sure what is…
